The school is located in the village Moshohori, 7 km from the town of Lamia. It was established in beginning of the century. It is a small, rural school with 180 students and 18 teachers and receives kids from 13 small villages in the area. We cooperate with a kindergarten, a high school, local Association of Volunteers and Directorate of Education of the Region. There are 11 students with some difficulties in the learning process, a deaf one and they are taught by teachers specialized in this kind of teaching.

The pupils study at school from 8.00-15.00 and school offers them lunch. Over 30 Syrian and Kurdish pupils who live in the refugee camp at Thermopylae, study there in order to be able to follow the regular curricular. 40 Ukraine kids arrived last month. More are expected as the village can offer their families low cost accommodation and work in agriculture. Parents have already come and kids are expected. All the students are taught two foreign languages (English and French or German)

Also, we have immigrants from Albania and Roma. For the emigrants, refugees and other sensitive groups during last school year, our school cooperated with the LATSIS Foundation for a national project about Arts. The purpose of this project was to reduce early school leaving of these groups of students. Their parents were also involved. Students and teachers are eager and hardworking and actively involved in several IT, cultural and environmental activities.

Children have participated in European programs (Erasmus and eTwinning). The fact that the financial crisis has affected the majority of our students' families has resulted in having one or both parents unemployed. Consequently, the difficult situation that has emerged affects negatively their psychological status and thus their performance and general behaviour at school.

Apart of these activities our community tries to provide material help as much as we can, for children facing difficulties. We also have many courses like maths, science, social studies, language, art, sports and music according to curriculum. We aim that our students can improve themselves socially, culturally and educationally to be good citizens and become in harmony with Europe as well. The vision of our school is to continue to be the best considering academic success, sports, cultural events and art. Therefore, we tend to encourage our students and staff to take part in educational, social, cultural, sports and art activities. In that sense, we organize trips, theatre plays, competitions in our school and join the organizations of other schools.

Our school is good at social facilities which make our students more communicative. Also, our school needs more technologial opportunities. Our main strenght is our students and teachers eagerness to take place in this project , our weakness is the number of our students and their socioeconomical backgrounds.
